Yang Yin Yoga is a special designed sequence which combines passive and active asanas with Pranayama & meditation into what can be a very deep, integrated and satisfying practice.

Yang, similar to an all-levels class, is a flowing and dynamic sequence, which stretches and strengthens muscular tissues. Yang activity is fluid and builds to an apex maintaining core strength; usually postures are standing and energizing.

Yin focuses on the connections in the pelvis, hips and lower spine. Yin Yoga activity is slow, steady with a sense of core softness and surrender; and involves a focus on floor based poses (sitting, laying on belly or back).

Join us for asana, meditation, pranayama, conversation, chair massage, nature craft, free time to wander and read, and the wonderful cooking of Rhona Kamar (of Ramsi’s Cafe on the World). We will finish on Sunday with a picnic lunch and hike at Lake Cumberland State Park.
