Denise Stottmann

Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher, E-RYT 500 HR, YACEP
Owner of Infinite Bliss Yoga since July 2011

Denise is a native of Louisville and enjoys athletic activities such as bicycling, volleyball, walking, and hiking. In December 1987, she graduated from University of Louisville Speed Scientific School with a Master of Engineering and she also married her husband, Ed Stottmann. After working as an engineer for five years, she chose to stay home with her three children. She discovered her passion for teaching while attending music classes with her children. She taught music to 200 preschool and kindergarten aged children for 16 years. She became interested in yoga when one of her daughters did yoga for physical therapy and she has been practicing Anusara Yoga since 2006.  She received her Anusara-Inspired 200 hour status in 2009 and became a Certified Anusara 500 hour teacher in May 2013.  She is Yoga Alliance Extended RYT-500 hour licensed, a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), and the lead teacher for the 200 hour Anusara teacher trainings at the studio.  She has completed the Roll Model Method and Science of Rolling massage ball training with Yoga Tune Up.  She continues to enjoy her study of all aspects of yoga through her practice and attending ongoing trainings.

Denise is inspired by sharing the connections she continually makes between science and math and the body, mind and heart.  If you happen to miss Science Friday on NPR, not to worry, Denise will fill you in on the mat! She continues to be amazed at how the alignment principles continue to benefit her varied athletic endeavors and how the heart qualities of Anusara Yoga inspire her in both her professional and personal life.  She loves to help others discover the therapeutic and healing properties of yoga. She teaches studio, corporate, and private classes.

Pippin

Co-Owner

Pippin is our Shih Tzu door greeter and sock thief and he is always ready to play ball or tug-of-war!  He enjoys various restorative poses as we practice and usually will show off his down-dog and up-dog poses at the end of class.

Ken Baker

200 HR Anusara-Inspired Teacher

Ken was born in Springfield, Kentucky, but has called Louisville home for over 30 years. He has a Master’s degree in sociology from the University of Louisville. By day, Ken is an urban planner; he is the Neighborhood Planning Manager for Louisville Metro Office of Advanced Planning. He also teaches a graduate-level class in urban planning at the University of Louisville.

Ken has been practicing yoga since 2005. He discovered that yoga always made him feel centered, and created a healthy, positive flow of energy. Ken received his Anusara Elements 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2016. In his classes, he often likes to do athletic/challenging poses, as well as aromatherapy and pranayama/breathing meditations. Ken has had his own physical challenges over the years; during yoga teacher training, he had two hip replacements, so he understands that we all have limitations and some poses don’t work for everybody. Ken always tries to make his classes meaningful, fun, light-hearted and inclusive. Men who want to pursue a yoga practice might consider trying Ken’s classes.

Besides yoga, Ken enjoys travel, theatre, art and design, playing tennis, entertaining, game nights, dining out, drinking wine, glamping, and being at the beach. Ken, his husband, Jim, and his dog, George, live in the Tyler Park neighborhood in the Highlands

Susan Hovekamp

I am utterly passionate about the idea that everyone deserves an inclusive mind-body yoga  experience. I believe the magic of yoga is that it can empower everyone, including those  with diverse abilities, to feel seen, heard, and included. I enjoy teaching (and practicing all  styles of yoga including Power Vinyasa, Slow Flow, Chair, and Prenatal Yoga. When I am  not on my mat you can find me practicing my other passions which include spending time  with my beautiful kids in the kitchen whipping up something tasty and cultivating talent at PriceWeber.

Sarah Easton Miller

Sarah has been practicing yoga for over ten years because it has always made her feel  good; she took a deeper dive into the whys of that in 200 YTT and completed her  certification in 2022. In her classes, Sarah often likes to utilize twist asanas to aid in  wringing out the body’s fascia and bring fresh blood to the system.

As an educator for the past seventeen years Sarah has worn a few different hats: her work  with kids and their families as a kindergarten teacher, a librarian at the LFPL, and an  English as a Second Language Instructor has helped her to remember to bring a spirit of  playful curiosity into yoga class. She currently teaches mom and babes yoga, kids and  preteens yoga, gentle restorative yoga, and chair yoga.

Sarah’s hope is that yoga will help people feel strong and grounded on Mother Earth; she  desires to move toward peace and connection through yoga practice on the mat, so that it  can more easily be found in other places in our lives too.

Christine Saladino

Yoga helps Christine find space in life and body. It stirs up creativity, excitement and drive. Her wish is to take this excitement for yoga and share it with other yogis of all levels.

She discovered yoga in 2006 while working in corporate accounting. During the time of intense working hours, she started attending an early Monday morning yoga class. She soon noticed her energy was high, her engagement and passion was peaked, and she had increased body awareness, mindful movement, and eating. Yoga was the avenue to a calmer, energized, and balanced life.

Christine’s passion for yoga has driven her to explore various yoga styles including; Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Anusara, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Power Yoga, and Bikram. Christine studied yoga at Tranquil Space in Washington D.C with a well-respected program focused on a breadth of yoga styles incorporating various teachers nation-wide. She completed her 200 hour training in 2011 and her 500 hour training in 2012.
